Vietnam Pepper Prices surges again on Chinese Buying

Asian currencies have all appreciated against US$ so prices in US $ are all high this week across all origins.

Small Medium importers are buying hand to mouth and exporters have serious cash crunch in Vietnam as credit lines are cut and suppliers need immediate  payment on delivery. With major chunk of carryover stocks are sold this year and very low imports Vietnam is running out of stocks and won’t be surprised if local prices surpass the highs we have seen this year as the next (2025) crop also is delayed in Vietnam and will commence only on Late March or early April and it’s impossible for Vietnam to feed the world market for the next 5 months with the kind of stocks they have.
