Vietnam Pepper outlook first Quarter 2025

Vietnam’s pepper prices are expected to remain high in the first quarter of 2025 due to limited supply and steady demand. The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association forecasts that the country’s pepper output will decrease in 2025 where as we feel output to remain stable at 180’000 pmt plus minus 10 % , which will support export prices .
 *Key Factors Influencing Pepper Prices: Limited Supply:_ Vietnam’s pepper crop in 2025 is expected  be start after Lunar new holidays by mid February  with some regions finishing in March and April, 1-2 months later than previous years due to prolonged drought 
 Steady Demand: Global demand for pepper is expected to remain steady, although China’s demand has been weak  in 2024 compared to 2023 by 85 % 
Competition: Vietnam faces competition from other major pepper-producing countries like Brazil and Indonesia . Current Market Prices:* – Vietnam’s black pepper 500 g/l price ranges from $6,400 for FAQ to $6,800 per ton for Asta Cleaned  – White pepper prices remain stable at $9800  per ton ¹. Keep in mind that market prices can fluctuate rapidly due to various factors, including weather conditions, global demand, Ocean freight increase Currency fluctuations and trade policies.
