Pepper Market Review Week 09 2025

Please be advised that pepper markets in Vietnam have shown some easiness throughout the week but at close started firming again with multinational operators in the market picking up aggressive offers from local dealers and collectors who want to speculate a bit.Local market witnessed bids of 158-159000 Vietnam Dongs per Kilo with sellers deciding to wait for week 10 to see how harvest is progressing !

Brazil offers have climbed up during the week with

Machine Dried:*

ASTA min 570 GL at US$ 6850/MT FOB.

B1 min 560 GL at US$ 6800/MT FOB.

B2 min 500 GL at US$ 6700/MT FOB

*Sundried:*

B1 min 560 GL at US$ 6900/MT FOB.

B2 min 500 GL at US$ 6800/MT FOB.

Shipment: March/April 2025 at Seller’s option.

*EU Compliant Pepper*

Brazilian Origin Black Pepper min 550 GL Spiral Cleaned Steam Sterilized – Sundried within European Food Legislation at US$ 7650/MT CFR EMP. 25 KG PE Bags.

Shipment: April/May 2025 at Seller’s option.

Indonesia sellers were asking very high prices as Light Pepper for extraction trading as high as 7400 pmt FOB for March shipment.Lasta was quoted 7800 FOB Panjang for March/April Shipment very small quantity .

Indian prices remained at US$ 8000 FOB Kochi and Sri Lankan 525 gl at US$ 7350 FOB Colombo .

Recently concluded International Spice conference the flagship event of All India Exporters Forum took home a bullish sentiment with very limited carryover lower and late crops in origins and expectations of Chinese aggressive buying in 2025.
