Viet Pepper Prices on Fire ! Will it continue Burning ??

In Week 34 and Week 35, black and white pepper prices across all producing regions in Asia and South America saw an increase of almost 12%. This surge coincides with a significant reduction in August exports from Brazil, which fell to just 167 tons to Vietnam, Brazil’s largest trading partner and importer of black pepper.

The Indonesian crop for 2025 is experiencing delays and is projected to be very small compared to previous years. As of September, light berries for extraction have not yet been shown to buyers. Indonesian exporters do not anticipate being able to offer light berries or heavy berries (Asta 550 gl) for September shipments.

Current quotes for Vietnam Whole Black 570 gl are approximately US$ 6995 FOB, and 550 gl Asta is quoted at US$ 6555 per metric ton FOB HCMC. It is currently very difficult to source lower density material to produce 500 gl Asta. DW White Asta for September shipment is quoted at US$ 9650 FOB HCMC.
