Vietnam Pepper exports breaches 1 Billion Dollars

From January through August 2025, Vietnam exported pepper valued at $1.06 billion, totaling 166,000 metric tons. This volume comprised 143,000 metric tons of black pepper and 23,000 metric tons of white pepper. To support these exports, Vietnam imported 18,000 metric tons from Brazil, 9,000 metric tons from Cambodia, and 7,000 metric tons from Indonesia.

The estimated 2025 crop for Vietnam is approximately 180,000 metric tons, with a potential variation of plus or minus 10,000 metric tons. Additionally, the carry-forward stock from previous years is estimated to be at least 45,000 metric tons.
