Black and White pepper prices in Vietnam increased USD 200 pmt during the course of the week with limited inventories available for sale in the market as from January to mid August Vietnam exported 174,000 mts of pepper including imported which amounts to 25000 mts through official channels and another 15000 mts through its borders from Cambodia and Laos . Global Pepper Mart Sink as new crop harvest in Brazil and Indonesia gains momentum

Excessive Speculation in Vietnam Spoils Global as high as 185 K Pepper Mart

Pepper Prices drop 25% from the peak in 14 days

High volatility keeps pepper under uncertainty

For the past few weeks, confusion prevails in the pepper market in view of the uncertainty over the availability of the material in Brazil Indonesia and Vietnam. Prices have been skyrocketing every other trading session with USD 500  and USD 1000 per metric ton increase and in the last six weeks prices have almost doubled in all the major origins except in India where prices are already high though increased but not to the same extent like other origins [...]

Pepper Market Week 21 2024

Pepper Market Review Week 20 2024

Black and white Pepper prices in Vietnam rallied further during the week scaring local  suppliers as well as exporters with more defaults locally with the huge increases in the domestic prices . We are yet to know about the delays and defaults from exporters side as we know local suppliers have been defaulting heavily to the exporters with prices increasing by US$ 1000 pmt after the Tet Holidays till now and US$ 700 pmt from the beginning of May [...]
