Pepper Market Review Week 20 2024
Black and white Pepper prices in Vietnam rallied further during the week scaring local suppliers as well as exporters with more defaults locally with the huge increases in the domestic prices . We are yet to know about the delays and defaults from exporters side as we know local suppliers have been defaulting heavily to the exporters with prices increasing by US$ 1000 pmt after the Tet Holidays till now and US$ 700 pmt from the beginning of May after the market reopened after holidays.Although importers have not following the higher price advises from exporters and this week we saw more nervous customers looking for coverage but exporters were reluctant and shying away from giving offers in an ever increasing market making it difficult to work.
