Pepper Market Review week 23 2021

Black and White Pepper Prices opened firmer beginning of the week by USD 100 pmt after settled on a steadier note in Vietnam. Vietnam has become the cheapest origin after Indonesia and Brazil moved to USD 3900- 4000levels at close of the week.India still remains the leader with FOB
Prices hovering around USD 6350  pmt level for the conventional Malabar Pepper.
Indian grinders bought aggressively June July and August Shipments from Vietnam during the week being the cheapest origin .

The most traded 500 gl Asta was traded USD 3550 FOB USD 3700 for 550 Asta  USD 3750  for 570 gl Asta USD 5335/5350 for DW white Asta huge quantities to CIS destinations and East Europe
Prices in Vietnam very likely to move up to new highs in the third and 4 th Quarter with dwindling stocks with already 120,000 Mt exported in the first five months of 2021. Higher prices and lack of quantities in Malaysia  and Indonesia will attract more buyers to Vietnam in the coming days we strongly feel. Stay covered always for nearby stocks otherwise last minute shoppers will end up paying very high prices
