Pepper Market Review Week 6 2025
Dear customer,
Black and White Pepper prices continued to surge in week 6, both locally and internationally. Local demand surpassed supply due to limited carryover, delayed harvest, and China purchasing all available Double Washed White Pepper stocks.
Exporters struggled to source Double Washed White Pepper, and offers for Old Crop Black Pepper were limited. As a result, White Pepper Processors were actively seeking Black Pepper holders. Most enterprises and their supply chain partners will fully reopen on Monday, February 10th, 2025 fully after Lunar New Year Holidays While harvest will gain momentum from the 2nd week of March only , small quantities may be sourced from Big Collectors at their asking prices.
At the close of business on Friday, February 7th, some aggressive exporters provided the following indications, though most were unwilling to offer or were asking high prices:
* Whole Black Pepper 500 grams/Liter Max 10% Light Berries 12.5% Moisture and 0.5% Extraneous Matter US $7250 pmt
* Whole Black Pepper 550 grams/Liter Max 5% Light Berries 12% Moisture and 0.2% Extraneous Matter US $7400 pmt
