Vietnam Pepper update week 47 2025
Black and white pepper prices closed firmer as expected with a smart gain of Vietnam Dongs 5000 per kilo ( USD 190 pmt) with most of the carryover and 2025 crop liquidated.
Local prices of Black has been moving in a very narrow range of 147000- 152000 Vietnam Dongs
Per kilo for the last 6 months and business happening only for near by shipment.
Our farm visit since Monday clearly indicates the crop of 2026 is going to be much smaller than earlier anticipated and going to be more late than last year.This year though the crop was late huge carryover helped to take care of the first quarter shipments but do not see this happening for the
2026 first quarter as Indonesia still remains 5-7 % higher for 570 Asta and Brazil is finding home in MENA, India and Vietnam
