Vietnam Pepper Prices Poised for a sudden upsurge

Dear Partner

With Vietnam exporting around 235,000 mts of both Black and White Pepper by the end of this month from an estimated crop of 160-175,000 mts of Black Pepper (depending on the crop study estimates of different agronomists of various multinational spice processors and domestic trading companies ) and a very decent carry over (numbers difficult to follow ) and lowest imports of recent years approx 33000 mts
the market is poised for a sudden upsurge as it has become the cheapest origin and we see more buying interest from China for white pepper these days at increased price levels and regular importers are sitting back with a strong feeling that the market will drop again to cover for ist and 2 nd quarter of 2025 but the reverse is what’s going to happen is our forecast .

Local prices for Black hitting as low as 138,000 Vnd per kilo today rebounded to 144,000 Vnd per kilo without any firm offers.White pepper even at 230,000 for DW we can’t find even at close of biz today .

Operate very prudently keeping stocks for near term use otherwise will be cornered with the new crop delayed by 2 months .

Please call us to discuss your needs for near term .

Best Regards
